You Lead Too! How to lead well.

You are a leader.

Does that surprise you?
It's true.

It's true because leadership is influence.

Being a leader is not a title you receive or a job position. It's also not some mystical ability that only some special people have.

You may currently influence 2 or 3 close friends. You may be in charge of thousands of employees in a multinational corporation.

The key principles for leveraging your influence wisely are the same in any case.

Everyone has influence. The question is: How will you use that influence?

Here is one powerful practice you can start with:

Every week when we gather for our PAZ family groups after church, we share "vision" for 5 - 10 minutes each week. It's core to our group gatherings and critical to growing together in Christ.

Vision is presenting "what we should do and why we should do it". Or alternatively "what we already do and why we continue doing it".

Getting everyone on the same page within your friend group, club, or company is critical to healthy growth.

Everything, including the Bible, points to this simple formula:
Greater Unity = Greater Success

Sharing vision regularly builds unity in a practical way.

Unity is a product of having the same purposes and ideas in mind as a group. Unified hearts work in the best interests of the team.

Part of leading well is taking a few minutes to remind everyone what their purpose is and where they are going.

Jesus gave the greatest vision statement of all time: The Great Commission! If you ever can't think of something to share it's never a bad time to use this passage:

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20 NIV

Many of our friends, families, and coworkers are looking for purpose and direction in life. You definitely don't need to be a movie star, politician, or CEO to share true life with precious people around you.

This Easter let's look for opportunities to remind others about the greatest life purpose of all: having an intimate friendship with Jesus.

P.S. - We also got some exciting news yesterday about our team's next church plant coming up in 2022. We're making two 2 new teams that will start working separately in the next few months. We will prepare to launch a new church and adjust to continue taking great care of our church in Noborito. As it develops I'm excited to share how our new teams are doing, and how our new church will be planted. 🙌🏻
